Responsibilities

Department Reps have five easy but very important responsibilities during the campaign:

  1. Attend the Kickoff Breakfast and Training: Wednesday, January 22, 8:30 AM.
  2. Display, publicize, and share campaign information with your department.
  3. Schedule an informational presentation by our United Way liaison, in person or via Zoom.
  4. Encourage your colleagues to participate in the special event fundraisers.
  5. Advertise Candy Gram sales and pick up your department’s Candy Grams.

Benefits

Some of the benefits of participating as a Department Representative include:

  • Involvement in a campus-wide effort to help your Santa Barbara Community.
  • Opportunity to engage and network with colleagues across campus and in different departments.
  • Bragging rights at being the most informational one in the office for all things United Way and the opportunity to educate about Santa Barbara’s non-profit community, while offering everyone the chance to give.
  • BONUS: You’re automatically entered in weekly opportunity drawings for super cool prizes from campus and the community!
